How can we use emerging technologies for education and communication?
How do emerging technologies support, extend, and transform communication, teaching, and learning?
.
This wiki serves as our one-stop location for all material related to the class. The course unit is composed of 10 “weeks” or “modules”, accessible via the Weekly Schedule link on the right hand side of the page. Please note that this is NOT a self-paced class: Weekly participation and immersion with the concepts of the unit is expected.
The Sidebar on the right includes various links of interest. Through those links you can read the unit's syllabus, access various tutorials, resources, and readings, and learn more about the individuals who will be guiding this course unit.
Please note that each week has its own relevant page (accessible through the weekly schedule page)
Each one of those pages will contain information on:
what we will be working with,
the reading that will need to be completed for the coming week, and
the assignment(s) that is/are due for the coming week.
Each week’s page MAY (but not necessarily) include :
material used in class (e.g. powerpoint slides)
video updates (or audio-recordings of the lectures)
I will make every attempt to post these materials on the blog, but there will be times when I will not be using any powerpoint slides or times where we will be holding small group discussions in which case audio recording won’t be a viable option.
Also note that you have the capability to post comments on all pages Please feel free to use this space as much or as little as you wish. I will answer your questions on here, as well as on email. The benefit of posting your questions/concerns here is that they become available for other students to see, making it efficient to quickly resolve common problems or issues.
Additionally, I will give you authorship access to various pages of the wiki, where you will be able to post your own information (more information on this will be provided to you via email).
